Guide Training
SetPath equips Guides to help young adults build a Life Plan rooted in values, vision, and intentional growth. Our training prepares mentors to ask thoughtful questions, provide accountability, and support Planners as they reflect on key areas of life like relationships, work, money, health, spirituality, and purpose. Because no two Life Plans look the same, Guides are trained to support each Planner with flexibility, wisdom, and encouragement.
We are currently training Guides to volunteer in our Spring and Fall cohorts. To learn more and sign up, please visit our cohort page.
If you’d like to explore Guide Training outside of our traditional cohorts, you can contact us here and we’d love to chat about it!
What Guides Learn
Through training, Guides learn how to:
support Planners in building a Life Plan across key areas like relationships, family, work, money, spirituality, health, activities, friends, and education
encourage reflection without forcing a fixed formula, recognizing that life accounts may look different for each person
help Planners create commitments that are realistic and attainable, avoiding overload
ask thoughtful questions that help young adults align their values with their future vision
serve as a steady source of encouragement, accountability, and perspective as Planners move forward
